Dr. Alycia Albrechtsen BSc, BSc (Dent), DMD, MSc (Ortho), FRCD (C)
For Dr. Albrechtsen, the best part of orthodontics is seeing patients grow more confident as their smiles change. She’s seen how a healthy smile can transform how someone feels day to day, and she strives to make every patient’s experience comfortable, supportive, and personal.
Born and raised in Manitoba, Dr. Albrechtsen earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Manitoba, followed by specialty training and a Master of Science in Orthodontics at the University of Alberta. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. After completing her training, she returned home to Winnipeg, proud to care for the community that shaped her.
With a calm, reassuring approach, she helps patients feel at ease while creating smiles that look natural, feel great, and function well. She provides orthodontic care for children and adults using braces and clear aligners, and works closely with other dental professionals to achieve healthy, lasting results. She believes that great orthodontic care comes from listening first, understanding each patient’s goals before designing their treatment plan.
Outside the clinic, she loves spending time at the lake with her husband and two young children while also trying new restaurants and exploring new places through travel.
